Man dies after stabbing

A MAN has died after an alleged stabbing in Broken Hill.

An investigation is underway, after emergency services were called to a home in Duff Street just after 11.50pm on Thursday night – following reports of welfare concerns.

On arrival, officers attached to Barrier Police District located a man with stab wounds to his neck.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was treated by paramedics – however he could not be revived.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established, and Barrier Police District officers and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad commenced an investigation.

Inquiries are continuing.
