THE Blow Back Ins, a collective of renowned Australian artists currently exhibiting a series made in the region at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery, will be hosting an artist panel this Saturday evening.
The event will feature exhibiting artists Paul Connor, Ann Cape, Willemina Villari, Renata Par-Lewis and Gina Bruce, in conversation with art critic for The Sydney Morning Herald and former head of Australian art at the National Gallery of Australia, John McDonald.
The Blow Back Ins spent two intensive weeks based in town in 2024, working at a range of local sites to produce a compelling collection across mediums including watercolour, sculpture, painting on salvaged steel and more, in response to Broken Hill.
They will speak about their experience here, as well as their creative processes and stories behind the works on display in the panel discussion.
The panel will take place at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery on Saturday evening.
Entry is free and doors will open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
Bar facilities and light refreshments will be available.
